Signed contract on Cooperation between Belgrade Municipality Barajevo and SEEFED
_The Belgrade Municipality Barajevo and The South-East European Federation of Cities and Regions for the Environment signed the contract at the premises of the Municipality Barajevo, which regulates mutual rights and responsibilities in a process of appropriate funds finding, a feasibility studies conducting and, in general, cooperation in different projects regarding a wastewater treatment in the Municipality Barajevo.
On behalf of the Belgrade Municipality Barajevo, the contract was signed by Mayor Mrs Branka Savic and on behalf of the Federation of Cities and Regions, Mr Zoran Milinkovic, President of this Federation.
Since the Belgrade Municipality Barajevo is unable to finance such important projects, as water waste management system as well as continuation of already started water network building, Mrs Branka Savic, Mayor of the Municipality Barajevo, expressed her satisfaction with the agreement signing, what opens plenty of new opportunities for fundraising.
Particularly important for this cooperation, was participation of Mr Ivan Ivankovic, Deputy President of the Belgrade Municipality’s Parliament, on the international Conference “Energy and Environment: Focus on Western Balkans”, organized by the SEEFED in October this year.
President of the South-East European Federation of Cities and Regions, Mr Zoran Milinkovic, praised the Belgrade Municipality for its effort and cooperation and emphasized that the Federation of Cities and Regions is proud to have the Municipality Barajevo in its membership and expressed his assurance that it will soon become a leader in innovation, environmental protection and in a regional cooperation.
